The Master's Touch - Donation to the PGSO's The Red Violin

Mar 29, 2012

A very special event was held in Prince George Saturday March 31st by the Prince George Symphony Orchestra. Elizabeth Pitcairn, a celebrated violin virtuoso, played her Red ‘Mendelssohn’ Stradivarius violin. We created a diamond and gold violin pendant titled “The Master’s Touch” which was raffled at the concert. The raffle for the pendant raised over $6000 for the PGSO. We are very honoured to have been a part of this exceptionally rare, first class event.

"The Master's Touch"

Darrell Hubbell, our master goldsmith, hand formed this pendant in 14kt rose and palladium white gold. There are fourteen round brilliant cut diamonds set into the white gold of this pendant, ranging from 0.01ct to 0.035ct. The body of the violin is polished to a high gloss and carved with the same lines as the multi-million dollar red violin. This piece is accompanied by a 14kt yellow gold round wheat link chain which is 20” long. We have titled it “The Master’s Touch”, and this ladies’ pendant and chain have an appraised value of $3,096.80.
