Gift Certificates and Other Donations 2011

Not every event calls for a one of a kind creation, but we like to say yes when we are asked to pitch in so here is a collection of events we have supported with donations of gift certificates or other jewellery.

Festival of Trees Chamber Lunch Among the Trees

On November 22nd 2011, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce held its Lunch Among the Trees event at the Festival of Trees. Darrell Hubbell, being the Citizen of the Year for 2011, was the speaker for this event, and Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths donated a $500 gift certificate.

Rotary Club of Prince George Auction

FromĀ November 7th to the 26th the Rotary Club of Prince George held an auction and we donated three $500 gift certificates. Rotary does great things in this community and around the world and we are glad to be part of it.

Mackenzie Chamber of Commerce

On November 19th, 2011 the Mackenzie Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual fundraising auction and so we have donated a gift certificate of $500. We hope that this will benefit the residents of Mackenzie and we're glad to see the community doing so well.

Canadian Diabetes Association Picnic in the Park

On August 19th, 2011 the Canadian Diabetes Association held their annual Picnic in the Park in Fort George Park. They had a silent auction fundraiser and we donated a pair of hand formed 14kt yellow gold and natural nugget stud earrings for the cause. The nuggets are local to BC, and the earrings are valued at $228.

Hixon Community Association

On July 21st, 2011 we were happy to donate a $200 gift certificate to the 30th Annual Hixon Fall Fair put on by the Hixon Community Association. The fundraiser was held on August 20th and 21st of 2011 and was a great success.

Liberal Golf Tournament

On June 27th, 2011 we donated a pair of gold and diamond earrings to the Liberal Golf Tournament. The earrings were valued at $1,243, and were awarded as a prize.

RCMP Victim Services Silent Auction

On June 16th, 2011 Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths donated a $200 gift certificate to the RCMP Victim Services Silent Auction Fundraiser. This is the second year in a row that we have made this donation to this fundraiser.

Costco Wholesale Silent Auction

In May of 2011 we donated a gift certificate for two free appraisals, which has a $100 value to Costco's Silent Auction, a fundraiser for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

Coast Cancer Crusaders

On March 26th, 2011, for the second year in a row, we donated a $250.00 gift certificate to the Party for a Cure, an event put on by the Coast Cancer Crusaders.

Sacred Heart Elementary School

On February 26th, 2011 the Sacred Heart School in Prince George will hold its 2nd Annual Gala Fundraiser with the goal of raising $20,000 to support facility upgrades and student activates, materials and supplies. Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths donated a gift certificate of $250.00 to help with their fundraising goal.

Ecole College Heights Elementary

On February 14th, 2011 Ecole College Heights Elementary held a Valentine's Raffle to raise funds for a trip to Quebec for their Grade 7 class. We were happy to donate a heart shaped natural nugget in a 14kt yellow gold frame pendant with chainĀ and a pair of natural gold nugget earrings with posts and heavey duty butterfly clips to help with their fundraising goal. The value of this set was $500 including taxes.

Northland Dodge Chinese New Year at the Exploration Place

The Chinese New Year Celebration is a fundraiser for the Exploration Place. It was held February 5th of 2011 and Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths was happy to donate a $500 gift certificate to celebrate both the year of the rabbit and the Exploration Place!

101.3 The River's Breakfast Idol

Congratulations to Sarah Gilbert (defending champion) who won the 101.3 The River's Breakfast Idol Contest! Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths donated a $250.00 gift certificate to the winner to go along with a great prize pack that included a complete spa package from The Spa of The North, and a complete Romance Package at the Coast Inn of the North.
