A Taste of India - Feb 5th 2011
The Yellowhead Rotary Club of Prince George threw its second annual fundraiser called "A Taste of India" on February 5th of 2011. Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths donated a 14kt yellow and palladium white gold topaz, peridot, sapphire, zircon and moonstone pendant on a 14kt yellow gold 18 inch Anchor link chain as a raffle prize. The evening of dinner and dancing sold out its 600 tickets so make sure you get yours early next year!
"Ānanda (Bliss)"

This one of a kind, hand formed pendant was designed specifically for “A Taste of India”. The pendant is inspired by the colours of a peacock and features five different gemstones: blue topaz, peridot, sapphire, blue zircon and moonstone. The pendant is made with 14kt yellow gold with an inlaid piece of 14kt palladium white gold and each stone is set in a yellow gold bezel. The stone at the top is a 7mm x 5mm oval cut blue topaz, the three middle stones are 3mm round brilliant cut peridot, sapphire, and blue zircon, and the stone at the bottom is a 6.5mm cabochon cut moonstone. The completed piece is really something to behold, and we have named it “Ānanda” which means bliss in Sanskrit and other Indian languages. This donation is valued at $2508 after taxes.
